Wisconsin Province meeting in Milwaukee 2007-06-16 |
| Andy Alexander, SJ, updated province members on the workings of the Jesuit Assistancy strategic planning process. Andy and Maureen Waldron also did a presentation on their work using the Internet for our ministry of Evangelization, particularly in sharing the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. People from around the world are nourished by the Daily Reflections, the Weekly Guide for Daily Prayer, the Audio Retreats. The truly "Ignatian" part of the site is the Online Retreat - a 34 week retreat, based on the the movements of the Spiritual Exercises. It is designed for busy people by helping people use the ordinary "background" time of each day to grow in intimacy with God - letting the graces of the Exercises interact with the daily reality of our lives. Anyone can begin the retreat at any time, but most people make the retreat with the liturgical year by beginning in September.
