Pedro Arrupe's Prayer

Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, than falling in love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what siezes your imagination, it affect everything.

It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your eweekends, what you read, who you know, hwat breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.

Fall in love,
Stay in love,
and it will decide evertyhing.

After 9.5 years in Milwaukee, as an administrative assistant in the Wisconsin Province Office and as a volunteer at Sojourner Truth House, a shelter for battered women, Fr. Charlie returned to Omaha to be a hospital chaplain at the Creighton University Medical Center.

In previous assignments in Omaha he taught chemistry at Creighton Prep (1974-7), returned to Creighton Prep (1990-2), served as assistant to Paul Koch, former director of Siena/Francis House (1992-4), and was associate pastor of St. Benedict the Moor Parish (1994-5).

Born in St. Louis Charlie attended Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, WI (1959-63), the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA (1963-67), and Iowa State University in Ames, IA (1967-70). He entered the Society of Jesus in 1970.
