Morning offering by Fr. Kolvenbach, S.J.

God, Our Father, I offer You my day.
I offer You my prayers, thoughts, words, actions, and sufferings
in union with Your Son, Jesus Christ, who continues to offer Himself
in the Eucharist for the salvation of the world.
May the Holy Spirit, Who guided Jesus, be my guide and my strength today
So that I may witness to Your love.
With Mary, the mother of our Lord and of the Church,
I pray especially for this month’s intentions as proposed by the Holy Father.

Fr. General Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J.

Greg grew up the son of a toy-buyer. He has been having fun ever since. With a Heidelberg doctorate in classics, Greg has taught a wide variety of language and literature courses, especially Latin and Greek. He has accompanied younger Jesuits in formation and has served as superior of several Jesuit communities. You might find Greg teaching Chaucer, using a toy in a homily, chatting with students, riding his bike, cheering on the Bluejay basketball team, or working on his model railroad. Collecting fables is a particular passion. He continues to develop a growing collection of some 6000 fable books. The collection, now owned by Creighton University, is housed in Creighton's Reinert-Alumni library. Why not visit the collection's colorful website at http://aesop.creighton.edu? Greg teaches various courses, the most regular of them Creighton's required World Literature course. He also serves in the Deglman Center for Ignatian Spirituality. Call him at 402-280-3240 or write him at gcarls@creighton.edu, and he will tell you a fable!
